Instructions
- Making the Brownie Layer:
- Melt butter and cocoa powder. Cool slightly.
- Whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate flour and salt into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the melted butter and cocoa mixture.
- Spread into a 9×13-inch pan.
- Making the Cookie Layer:
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Mix in egg and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough (Optional)
- Combining the Layers:
- Spread brownie batter evenly in the pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the batter.
